Research

In-situ research

Master's research focusing on installing arboreal camera traps in natural forest in southeastern Madagascar to study threatened and endangered lemur populations

Ex-situ research

PhD research focusing on the use of assisted reproductive technology (ART) and biobanking to assist at-risk amphibian species

Occupancy modeling using arboreal camera traps

Nine species of at-risk lemur species were captured using arboreal camera traps which led to occupancy modeling to inform on population status. (Chen et al., 2021)

Frozen-produced offspring

The largest clutch of tiger salamanders ever produced from cryopreserved sperm was acheived in 2021 using a newly tested sperm cryoprotectant treatment.
